On behalf of 1200 workers (members of the union LO in Norway) in the brewery Ringnes owned by the multinational Carlsberg breweries, we will strongly request you to accept your employees in Larvik their legal demands, which is a basic human right. We will ask you not to embarrass your country`s name here in Norway. We are selling a product – Pepsi – which is also an American company. And by refusing your employees legal rights, you are also threatening our jobs if the Norwegian people, because of your negative attitude against legal rights, reduce – which is a great risk – their trade in American products.
Almost 100% of the employees in the different locations Carlsberg have here in Norway, are members of the union and of course our company has accepted the legal tariff agreement. We will support your employees legal demands in the best way we cany. We will strongly recommend Ashland immediately to end the strike by accepting the legal tariff agreement. We will strongly recommend you not to provoke the people in a well-organized democratic country as Norway.
Kind regards
Stein Stugu, konserntillitsvalgt i Ringnes
